Senior team

Adrian Brown

CEO
With over twenty years of experience as a doctor in the NHS, Adrian has a wide array of knowledge concerning the needs of patients and healthcare teams. Half of this time has been dedicated to senior leadership roles in Public Health and eight years in digital health, which he now applies to the commercial application of digital technology to solving health problems. Having obtained a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD, Adrian translates his understanding of Public Health into businesses that aid people from all backgrounds.

Lalit Suryawanshi

CTO
Experience across a variety of sectors, Lalit conducts the production of digital platforms. As a digital technology transformation expert, he is vastly skilled at software engineering, business change and IT management. Previous clients include Hermes, Asda/Walmart, Wilko, QVC, Howdens & Air Canada. His Global Executive MBA from INSEAD represents an extensive knowledge of business and international relations.

Kate Fancourt

CFO
Studied Chemistry at Oxford before training as a Chartered Accountant with PwC (A.C.A. 1997; F.C.A. 2012). Then through gaining her MBA in 2004, Kate progressed to commercial roles, including thirteen years of experience in Telecoms with Vodafone, O2 and Openreach. Kate now provides Itecho with strategic financial planning and robust controls.

Matt Kay

Associate Creative Director
A highly proficient digital design strategist and visual communicator. Being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts expresses Matt’s commitment to shaping a better future through creative thinking. Collaboration with blue-chip brands such as Eurostar, Coca Cola and Barclaycard and healthcare clients (such as Imperial College C.T.Unit, Veeva & Teckro to name a few) displays his expertise in reaching out to users and company visions.

Simon Smith

Head of Software engineering
More than thirty years of IT experience across a broad range of industries, including: Retail, Logistics, Automotive and Telecoms. Simon has experienced a variety of roles across development, architecture, digital solutions and digital transformation.

Professor John Lyon

John holds a PhD in Business and Management (Warwick), a MsC in Clinical Biochemistry (Surrey) and a BSc in Biochemistry (Stirling). He is a Chartered Accountant (FCA), Fellow of the Institute of Directors and Fellow of the Institute for Clinical Research. He holds a full tenured Chair at Warwick University, where he is Associate Dean for Entrepreneurship, along with being Course Director for the MBA (Entrepreneurship specialism). John has had a long and successful industrial career bringing his chartered accountant and medical science expertise to bear in pharmaceutical development, venture capital management, financial consultancy and rapid growth early stage companies. He holds a number of board positions, including chairmanships. John is providing Itecho Health with support in regulation, governance and fundraising.

Professor Janet Brown

Professor Janet Brown holds a Chair in Translational Medical Oncology in the University of Sheffield, UK and is Honorary Consultant in Medical Oncology at the Sheffield NHS Foundation Trust. She also holds a Visiting Professorship in Medical Oncology at the University of Leeds, UK. After graduating in Medicine from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and training in Oncology in Newcastle, Christie Hospital Manchester and Weston Park Hospital, Sheffield, she obtained her MD research degree from University of Sheffield. As an academic leader and clinician scientist, Professor Brown engages in both clinical and laboratory research, which is internationally recognised, with publications in Lancet, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Nature Clinical Oncology and other journals. She has more than 100 published, peer-reviewed research papers and 230 published abstracts, has had more than 50 successful grant applications in the last 5 years and has recent and current research funding totalling over £15 million, with more than £10 million as Principal Investigator. She is Head of the Academic Unit of Clinical Oncology in Sheffield and Joint Director of the Cancer Clinical Trials Centre. She leads the Clinical Bone Oncology and Biomarkers Group in University of Sheffield, which is a global leader on the impact of cancer on the skeleton.

Nathalie Donne

(International Adviser)
Nathalie is Vice President for Alliance Management and Business Development at DBV Technologies (a clinical stage speciality biopharmaceutical company listed on Naddaq and Euronext France/US). In her current position, working in Paris, she is responsible of evaluation, negotiation and execution of major third party alliance/collaboration and licensing-in/out. Her main field of working is in allergy and immunology, specialty care and patient centric projects. Over the past years, she has negotiated and executed over ten strategic partnerships including licensing and co-developments deals with private and academic partners. In Alliance Management, she has successfully managed internal operations and relationship with partners, always focusing on each party’s objectives, facilitating positive and open communication, solving problems and maintaining continual alignment through collaboration from early stage discovery to clinical development and launch. She is pro-active, passionate, creative, highly motivated, result-driven and she holds an Executive MBA and an MSc in management of technological innovations.

Anand Nair 

(International Adviser)
Anand Nair is Head of YouTube Advertisements for Google in Hong Kong. He is responsible for bringing the next generation of advertising products powered by Machine Learning. He has 15+ years of international experience in the digital space in Asia, having also worked in India, and Dubai. Starting his career in advertising, Anand has experience managing large clients and teams across this career. Anand has been working at Google for 12 years. Experienced working with diverse cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Product, Operations and Sales. Anand started managing Operations for Google Maps and Google Checkout in India. In both these roles, he worked extensively with Engineering and Product teams. .
Anand has strong people skills having built up and managed large teams and proven ability to manage and scale operations, work in environments prone to constant change and ambiguity. Anand has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Madras University. India and a Global Exec MBA from INSEAD.

Dmitriy Makarenko

(International Adviser)
Dmitriy is Chief Finance Officer/Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) for Biopharma Limited (https://www.biopharma.com.ua/en/company-2/) which is an Ukrainian pharmaceutical production and marketing company. They specialise on plasma derivatives, recombinants and probiotics. As CFO he is responsible for all corporate finance functions including - relationship with an American private equity fund that is one of the shareholders, attraction of debt financing for the investment programme and coordination of other departments to achieve target profit levels. As COO he is in charge of supply chain management and procurement function. He has attracted long-term financing for construction of two pharmaceutical plants in Ukraine, successfully passed external audits, implemented supply chain management system which provide more than 90% reliability to customers and engaged different functions in ‘LEAN development’. He is self-driven, analytical, result-oriented and highly motivated, he obtained Executive MBA from INSEAD and Masters degree in Management from National Metallurgial Accademy of Ukraine. He is providing Itecho Health with advice on corporate finance to supplement their UK based support and advice on use of the technology in emerging markets.
